My name is Lauren Adela.I was born and raised in Houston, TX and I never want to live anywhere but this magnificent state. I’ve was never close to my immediate family by any means. My mother is an accountant and shes from Ecuador. My father is from Texas and is a real estate agent. My mom’s family is huge… like really really huge. She is one of 12 children, and I’m one of 34 grandchildren, the 34 grandchildren have somewhere around 20 great grandchildren. My cousin’s are some of my best friends. I was going to Sam Houston State University and now I’ll be attending University of Houston next semester. I’m majoring in photography and minoring in sign language. I want to own my own gallery and cafe one day. I love food and I love art, and in a lot of ways i think food can definitely be an art. (hence the term culinary arts lol) I just think that the world is a beautiful place full of beautiful things that we should make the most of.
I started dating Caleb on November 9, 2008. I fell in love pretty much instantly. He is the most amazing wonderful person I have ever ever met. I could never ever have asked for anything more in a partner. On January 6, 2009 Caleb was in a serious car accident. There was a laundry list of injuries that there’s no need to get into, but the most significant at the moment is the brain damage. His strength has been an inspiration to me, and the moment Ithought I might have lost him, I realized that I could never live without him. He is the love of my life. He’s the reason I get up in the morning. He is the reason I feel like I have the ability to be a better, stronger, and more successful person.
All in all, I don’t think I’m anything any more spectacular than any other human being, but the amazing thing about the internet is that we can all pretend that we have something important to say. I just want people to understand who I am, and if by some weird chance I can help someone out with my words.. then what more could I ask for?
